As the market leader for bronze materials in Switzerland, Walter Looser AG can look back on a long history of success since its foundation in 1929. Today, the Looser Bronze brand names are synonymous with the highest quality standards, combined with a large variety of semi-finished products such as tubes, bars, sheets and profiles made of copper alloys. Thousands of very finely graduated standard dimensions available from stock and some innovative special materials set the company apart as a valuable supplier to the industry.
Certification ISO 9001 / 14001
The first SQS certification was received in 1998 with ISO 9002. Conversion to ISO 9001 took place in 2003. We have also been certified according to the environmental management standard ISO 14001 since April 2018.

Traceability and the certification of materials are becoming increasingly important. We have the appropriate approval.
Specialties
For the turning industry, we stock polished round bars from 8-h8 to 50-h8 in Looser Bronze 50 (LB 50).
To ensure your optimum finished dimensions, we supply pre-turned special sizes for cylinder or flange bushings manufactured in the continuous or centrifugal casting process.
Special dimensions for casting alloys in the form of bushings or rings can be produced economically in the centrifugal casting process. The parts are then pre-turned to the desired delivery dimensions.
We supply flat or square blanks in special formats. These are factory-cut to your desired format from 250 x 510 x 3000 mm continuous casting blocks in Looser Bronze 50, Looser Bronze 65, Looser Bronze 68, Looser Bronze 66, Looser Leaded Bronze 80, Looser Leaded Bronze 82 and Looser Aluminium Bronze 75-1. We are also happy to offer ready-to-install parts according to your drawing.
We offer rolled and ultrasonically tested sheets or blanks in Looser Aluminium Bronze 75 from thicknesses of 4 to 145 mm.
Sheets or blanks from thicknesses of 0.2 to 40 mm are also available in Looser Phosphor Bronze CuSn6.
In Looser Aluminium Bronze 75, we offer forged and ultrasonically tested round bars from stock in diameters from 112 to 403. The physical and mechanical properties can be documented with a works certificate according to EN 10204-3.1. The official approval for re-stamping issued by Swiss Safety Center AG also allows us to transfer batch numbers to blanks.
We also supply bushings or bars as forgings, in particular in the alloys Looser Aluminium Bronze 75 and Looser Aluminium Bronze 78 as well as in the electrode material CuCrZr. Mechanical properties can be agreed and documented on request with a works certificate according to EN 10204-3.1.

- Métafram BP 25 / FP 20 – self-lubricating sintered bearings
- Wieland-B09 – rolled tin bronze bushings
- Looser bearing LG 41 – standard bearing made of solid bearing bronze
